            Harbin Electric Machinery Company Limited (Harbin Electric Machinery Works) founded in June 1951 is the key enterprise producing large and medium type power generating equipment in China. The main business scope covers the design, manufacture, supervision, installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance, upgrade and retrofit of hydro-turbine, hydro-generator, turbo-generator, controlling equipment for power station, sliding bearing and new energy products.

            HEC covers an area of 720,000 square meters, and is equipped with more than 3500 facilities of different kinds. In addition, the new energy products developing base has been established in Zhenjiang. The power-generating products produced by HEC are delivered all over China and to 51 countries.

            HEC has made use of the opportunity of “One Belt and One Road” and “Made in China 2025” strategy, implemented the development strategy of "way to go out" and developed the overseas market.

            HEC has established cooperative relationships with more than 30 international well-known enterprises like GE America, Alston France, ABB Canada, Andritz Austria, and Hitachi Japan.

            At present, the largest hydro power generating unit supplied by HEC in terms of unit capacity is 800MW, and that for turbo-generaot is 1,200MW level, and the hydro power generating unit with unit capacity of 1,000MW and AP1000 nuclear generator are under production. HEC has mastered the most advanced manufacturing technology of the world, and its core competitiveness has been improved significantly.
